Rehab Therapy (PT, OT, ST)
The Rehab Therapy System allows therapists to record therapy minutes immediately after a session with a resident or outpatient. You can use a touch-screen monitor or a mouse and keyboard.
The Therapy System interfaces with and enhances the Hi-Tech Resident Accounting and Clinical Records Systems.
It features the following:
- Records Physical (PT), Occupational (OT) and Speech (ST) Therapy services.
- Allows you to schedule up to 100 days of therapy for Medicare A patients.
- Accesses HCPC-coded therapies in the Medicare B fee schedule.
- Reads a resident’s Medicare PPS MDS schedule and analyzes recorded therapy time for look-back days to identify the optimum MDS start date to capture the most therapy time. This helps to maximize RUGs and reimbursement.
- Identifies residents whose case mix category would be improved by an early quarterly of a significant change assessment that captures recent therapy. If your state uses Case Mix scoring for Medicaid reimbursement, this helps you manage your case mix reimbursement prior to quarterly rate recalculation.
- Handles automatic exceptions for Outpatient Therapy Caps.
- Imports therapy time into the MDS to complete the Therapy items.
- Finds discrepancies between the MDS therapy minutes/days and recorded therapy time.
- Warns therapist if procedures are recorded after an MDS is complete.
- Prints a detailed Daily Therapy Register and a Therapy Documentation Records for therapists to sign.
- Records Notes that further document a therapy session.
- Sends HCPC-coded therapy records to Resident Accounting System to create charge records.
