EMR Libraries

To build your residents’ electronic records, you select many pre-defined responses from libraries that come with the System or that you create for your resident population.

Libraries allow you to:

  • Record information in a format required by government agencies.
  • Record information in familiar words that you understand.
  • Select and edit frequently used responses rather than continually re-describe similar events and conditions that tend to recur.
  • Standardize responses for easier sorting and management and statistical reporting.

Hi-Tech provides the following libraries:

  • Annual updates to the ICD9 Diagnosis library (issued by the Center for Disease Control)
  • National Drug Codes (NDC) for selecting medications for orders
  • Medication Classifications for Quality Assurance reporting
  • Frequency Codes for med orders and flow sheet activities
  • The Service Plan Problem, Goal and Approach Library developed with assistance from a residential care facility administrator and nurse
  • Risk Assessment templates

Your facility can edit the above libraries and build the following:

  • Physicians
  • Insurance providers
  • Statistics criteria
  • Hospitals and Mortuaries
  • Allergies
  • Routine and Standing Physician orders
  • Medication and Treatment Administration forms for different requirements
  • Flow Sheet items
  • Activities attended by residents
  • Events to be tracked, such as falls or illness like H1N1
  • Calendar items, such as appointments, labs, order renewals, etc
  • Inoculations
  • Notes text and templates
