Residential Care Assessments: MDS-RCA
Hi-Tech Software Solutions has developed Residential Care Assessment Minimum Data Set instruments for client facilities in states that require them. For example, the State of Maine requires the MDS-RCA, which is similar to the MDS 3.0 required in skilled care environments.
RCA Processing records, prints and electronically submits the required assessements to your state.
A Residential Care Assessment module can feature the following:
- Scheduling programs tell you whose assessments are due.
- Information recorded in a resident’s Face Sheet is copied into an Admission assessment.
- Medications are copied from Orders into the Medications section.
- The System checks for errors before printing the RCA form.
- The System prints all required forms, for example:
- Admission
- Semi-annual
- Annual
- Significant Change
- Other
- Discharge Forms
- The System assures that the printed Chart Copy matches the electronic copy to be submitted.
- In Maine, Data Conflict Checking identifies responses that seem to conflict, even though not errors.
- The System submits error-free records to the State.
- The System reads completed assessments to provide the following:
- One-page Service Plan that summarizes the resident’s needs
- Case Mix Grouper scores
- Quality Indicators based on the state’s criteria
