MDS 3.0
Our MDS Processing module provides everything you need to print and submit error-free MDS records that comply with CMS regulations.
Our system allows you to verify MDS identification details before you complete and submit an MDS, reducing the need to make costly corrections. A system of ARD warnings will help ensure that you schedule MDS within the required observation periods, and that you complete Change of Therapy (COT) assessments according to the 7-day schedule.
Our MDS Processing allows authorized personnel to electronically sign the MDS 3.0 so you can maintain electronic-only copies of the MDS 3.0, rather than print lengthy copies of the records for the residents' charts.
To assure even greater MDS and Case Mix accuracy, use our proprietary
Data Conflict Checking to find logical conflicts within an assessment.
To assist you in the timely completion and submission of accurate MDS records, the system enables you to do the following:
- View Assessment Schedules and Alert Lists that remind you to complete and submit records.
- Import resident demographic information directly from the resident's EMR face sheet into the assessment to save time and reduce risk of date-entry error.
- Begin a new assessment from a copy of a previous assessment and make the required changes; or begin with a blank assessment and complete all sections.
- Check each assessment for errors when you exit the record and before you print the Chart Copy.
- Print all required MDS forms for the residents’ charts. The system will not submit an MDS that does not match the printed Chart Copy.
- If you print an MDS and then change the record, the System ensures that you print the changed pages so the chart copies match the submitted MDS.
- Submit error-free MDS electronically. The system will not submit MDS that have errors defined by CMS.
- Secure your residents’ assessments by limiting user access to certain sections.
As a Resource Systems Platinum Partner, HTS provides an excellent interface between the MDS and the CareTracker™ ADL capture system. These systems share information to help you complete the MDS.
