Pay Differentials

The Payroll System handles different rates of pay for different types of work and the different times that an employee works.  

Assign Differential rates to:

  • Type of pay: overtime, vacation, sick time, etc.
  • Per diem vs. regular employees
  • Shift, weekend or holiday hours worked
  • Department worked
  • Level of responsibility
  • Resident’s skill level, as a flat rate or as a percentage of a base rate

The System allows you to:

  • Apply a differential to overtime pay using overtime average +.5 or x 1.5.
  • Enter differential codes as you record worked hours and view amount of pay.
  • Assign differential pay to the department worked and expense the pay to that department.
