Pay Types

  • Define up to 10 Hour Type Earnings, such as Regular, Overtime, EBT, and Sick Time. Indicate if:
    • Benefits should accrue for hours worked
    • Pay should be included in calculation of OT average rate
    • Hours should be included in lifetime hours worked
    • Pay is exempt from Maine State Retirement
    • The balance of benefit hours accrued should be decreased when this pay type is paid
    • Pay type should be skipped when doing benefit accrual calculations
  • Define up to 20 Other Pay types, such as On Call, Commission, Shift Differential, Weekend, Bonus, Third-Party Insurance, and Flex Pay. Indicate if:
    • Pay is taxable for Federal, FICA, State, Local, FUTA and SUTA
    • Pay should be included in overtime average
    • Pay is exempt from Maine State Retirement
  • Code each pay type to a General Ledger Account, including accounts for Benefit Time earned and paid.
  • On time cards, record hours worked by pay type. Identify department where each type of pay is earned, and compile pay type amounts per department.
  • View each resident’s YTD totals per pay type.
  • Report by type of pay.
