5010 Compliant before 12/31/2011

Hi-Tech Software is now testing the 5010 billing format that will replace the 837 and 835 formats required for Medicaid and Medicare billing. To allow time to submit test claims, the 5010 format will be available well before the 1/1/2012 deadline.

Resident Accounting is a comprehensive system for tracking, billing and receiving payment for long term care residents’ charges:

• Bill for Room Charges based on the correct rates per payer and level of care.
• Bill for ancillary, recurring, therapy and finance charges.
• Incorporate RUG scores for Medicare A and MaineCare billing.
• Make all necessary Adjustments prior to billing and re-billing.
• Submit claims in the UB04 and 1500 formats for:
  • Private Pay
  • Medicaid
  • Medicare A PPS
  • Managed Care on a PPS schedule
  • Medicare B
  • Medicare C
  • Commercial insurance billing
• Process Cash Receipts for all types of payments.
• Automatically update residents’ balances with charges and cash receipts.
• Print all necessary trial balance, aging, and cash receipts reports.
• Process and close end of month.
• Compile admission and discharge statistics based on residents’ levels of care, town and county of origin, gender, admitted from and discharged to details.
