Long Term Care Census

Record the following Census changes that will generate and affect Room Charges:

• New Admits
• Interrupted Stays and Leaves of Absence
• Bed Transfers
• Bed Holds
• Changes to Level of Care
• Changes to Payer
• Discharges

Use the Communication Log in the Clinical Records System to report evening and weekend census changes to the billing department.

Print and review the following Census Reports:

• Census Change and Census Reports before posting the census
• History Detail
• Daily % Occupancy
• Stats by Gender and Age
• Stats based on levels of care, town and county of origin, gender, admitted from and discharged to details
