Stay Records
- Create the resident’s Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Admit the resident into your Census to create the resident’s Stay Record for this period of time.
- The Stay Record contains required billing information, including the PPS MDS schedule and RUG rates for Medicare A and commercial insurance billing.
- Create a new Stay Record if resident is discharged and returns.
- Create a new Stay Record for a change in Payer or Level of Care.
- Use the Medicare B Stay Tables to record therapy Onset Dates and Value Codes required for Medicare B billing.
