Create libraries of trust accounting items unique to your facility:
- Deposit and withdrawal items that you will track for your residents
- Vendors who will receive checks to pay residents’ expenses
Record the following:
- Beginning Trust Balances
- Savings and Trust Checking Balance Forwards
- Cash and other deposits that you define
- Cash and miscellaneous withdrawals
- Recurring charges
- Savings account interest
- Checking service charges
Use Trust Checking to:
- Write checks to pay a resident’s expenses.
- Include multiple residents’ expenses on the same check to a single vendor.
- Automatically update residents’ trust accounts with check transactions.
- Track outstanding checks and reconcile the checks with the bank.
Automatically transfer funds from the Patient Liability payment recorded in Resident Accounting.
