In 2007 Hi-Tech Software, Inc. (HTS) celebrated 25 years as a provider of integrated software solutions for long-term care. In 2008, HTS supports more than 250 long-term care facilities in eight states. Our solutions include Clinical Records, Resident Referral, Billing and Accounting, General Ledger, Payroll, Human Resources, Accounts Payable, Therapy Tracking, and several other supporting applications. We provide a convenient turn-key installation routine that eliminates long conversion times. We build your records in our office, install them with our programs at your facility, and on that same day train your staff using your own data. When training is complete you continue to receive assistance from our phone support team. Our MissionBy dedicating ourselves to delivering comprehensive, integrated software solutions designed specifically for providers of long term care, we assist our clients in achieving the following:
Our HistorySince 1982 HTS has worked closely with its clients and state agencies to develop applications that meet record-keeping requirements and state and federal regulations. In 1987, the U.S. Congress passed OBRA87--new regulations that would require the automation of residents' records in long-term care facilities. Anticipating clients' needs, HTS added marketing and software development staff, and continued to install its systems in facilities that wanted to automate before the new regulations would go into effect. In 1991, HTS was one of the first vendors to offer MDS software, and in 1992 HTS was the first vendor to provide for electronic transfer of MDS records. Through 1995, HTS continued to develop MDS-based products, including Case Mix calculation, Quality Indicators and RAP-driven Care Planning. In 1995, as long-term care responded to changes in eligibility requirements, Residential Care emerged as an alternative level of care. HTS began providing the MDS-RCA programs for use in Maine Residential Care facilities. In the latter 90s, HTS continued to support its client base and meet HCFA (now CMS) regulations with the following developments: MDS+ to MDS 2.0 conversion Since the year 2000, HTS has continued to integrate new regulations and technologies into its systems with the following developments: • All applications and clients converted to
