On-site sales presentations: Our sales team will travel to your facility to demonstrate our products and answer your questions.

Software Installation: The HTS Support Staff installs our applications on your system.
We will also work with your hardware vendor and State contact to set up the connections you will need for electronic transmission of your MDS records and billing claims.

Data Conversion: To save you hours of data entry and conversion, HTS builds and installs much of your data prior to training. This includes:

• Your residents' face sheets
• Your residents' most recent MDS records (obtained from your State's data base)
• ICD9 Diagnosis codes
• National Drug Codes (NDC) for your residents' medications
• A Care Plan Library of problems, goals, and approaches based on NANDA
• Medicaid and Medicare Case Mix groupers
• A/R, A/P, G/L and Payroll

Software Updates: HTS issues regular program updates and patches that improve processing and meet state and federal regulations. We post these to the website so you can have them as soon as they are available.Click Downloads/Updates and enter you access codes.

Our Hi-Q Education and Training Plan awards Hi-Q Points based on the number of beds in your facility. Use these points for on-site training, telephone appointments, and workshops held at the Hi-Tech office:

  • On-site training: An HTS trainer comes to your facility and trains your staff using your residents' records. The training schedule depends on the application, but typically consists of several visits with enough time in between for you to use what you've learned before you have to learn new material. Our trainers will come back as often as you need them. You can schedule training for new members of your staff, as well as "refresher" training.

  • Telephone Appointments: Schedule uninterrupted time with a trainer when you need some personal attention, but you do not need a Hi-Tech trainer on-site. Using live, remote assistance, the trainer can access your system and show you which programs to select and how to complete required information on a screen.

  • Training at the Hi-Tech Office: Sometimes it is easier to learn outside the facility and avoid interruptions that would occur on-site.  Your staff can travel to the Hi-Tech office in Skowhegan, Maine to learn about topics that you choose. Call HTS and talk to one of our trainers to arrange the  date and agenda.

The Hi-Q Education and Training Plan offers free Regional Workshops and Webinars:

  • Free Regional Training workshops: HTS holds regional training workshops on specific topics. Our clients always find it valuable to meet as a group to discuss common interests and solutions.  View the current  Workshop Schedule.

  • Free Webinars:  Provided over the Internet, our Webinars allow you to attend short, highly focused sessions without leaving your facility. We cover a variety of topics offered on multiple days and times. Learn more and view the Webinar Schedule

MaineCare Billing Service

If you bill for a small number of clients, or you are new to electronic billing, MaineCare billing can be very confusing.  Questions about the electronic file format, billing codes, and which MaineCare department to contact for assistance have overwhelmed some of our clients.

In response to this need, HTS offers a MaineCare Billing Service that will do the following:

  • Provide a billing form that you fill out and fax to us

  • Complete the billing process for you

  • Track the claim using the State’s on-line system

  • Re-bill as necessary

  • Communicate with the State regarding the billing file

  • Forward to you any questions related to client eligibility for resolution

Please contact Lynne Hammond for more information or to sign up for this service.
